Hiram Usslyes Grant was one of the most courageous men in our countrys proud history, for he has done more good for our country in his years of war than most have done in their life.

U.S.Grant has many accomplishments during his life that effected our country in a huge.His biggest accomplishment was when he was able to defeat general Robert E. Lee to end the civil war. He also attended the us milatary academy.Grant was the colonel of the 21st Illinois Infantry in 1861.He was also elected the 18th united states president.Grant fought in the mexican war also from 1846-1848.Sadly he died july 23rd 1885 in New York city where he was later burried.his home state historic site is in Galena,Illinois.
